December 8-December 11This week in virtual art class, we started with a final reminder to make sure November art assignments are turned in. Students with missing work have also been contacted through email. The goal is for students to have all 3 art assignments (September, October and November) turned in before winter break. We then dove right in to new material for the remaining classes we do have before break. Students learned a little bit about Google Drawings, what a tangram is, and how tangrams have inspired a contemporary artist in her work. WHAT: Students then had class time to complete a Google Drawings assignment in which they learned how to make the following inventory: HOW: Video instructions for how to draw, resize, rotate and change a shapes color can be found here:
WHERE: Under the Classwork Tab in their Google Classroom, the Google Drawings assignment can be found under the December topic for them to draw in. This assignment is intended to teach them some basics that we will then apply next week during class. Student work on this assignment should reflect their best effort.
