3rd and 4th Grade: Week 2This week I introduced students to their choice board for their last project. They have two main ways to choose from as they think about making art: 1. using form (which is another Element of Art) or 2. being inspired by the book Magic Trash (which could include using recyclable materials). If a student would like to use clay for a form inspired project, I have individual packages of Model Magic waiting at school for those that are interested. They are in the remote teachers pick up box located right inside the school. Contact me by phone or email to make other arrangements if needed. Hopefully the choice board got the creative juices flowing so that next week during class, students are ready for a work day. 5th Grade: Week 3This week students had the majority of the class time to start or continue to work on their art project. The Google Doc assignment is now posted for them to turn in their project and their Monthly review if they finish before the due date (May 14th). This assignment is posted under the Classwork tab in their Google Classroom. A video with step by step instructions for how to turn it in can be found in the Stream of their Google Classroom. Friday of next week (5/7) is our last Remote Planning day of the school year, which means no live meeting for art class. During our next live meeting (5/14), students will have one last class time to finish up their project and get it turned in. If they have already turned in a completed assignment, WhatchamaDRAWit prompts will be posted as a fun way to be creative during class.
