November 4-6This week in art class, students were given their final reminder for turning in their October assignment (turning in their October art project and completing their Monthly Review). October instruction is moving into the Virtual Art Classroom if any of that information is still needed. We then dove right into new instructions for ways to be engaged in art class for the month of November. Our November schedule: This week was Week 1, so students learned about their theme for the month. 3rd grade has a broad theme to choose from as they make art in November. 4th Grade has two choices (the theme or the monthly drawing prompts). 5th grade has three choices (the theme, the monthly drawing prompts, or making a still life). In the art room, students are given more choice and ownership in their art making decisions as they get older, which is also reflected in Virtual Art Class. Third Grade:4th Grade:5th Grade:Next week, I will be checking in to make sure students have planned for their project (brainstorming ideas from November instructions) and they will learn a tip/technique that they could use in their project. They will also have time to start their project. Gather up those ideas and supplies and I will see you then!
