November 17-November 20This week in Virtual Art Class we started by reviewing important information from last week: tessellations and mosaics as art that uses shape, scumbling (coloring in a circular motion), and how different media, tools, and even household items can be used to make a shape inspired collagraph. We then talked about how the November assignment is posted for them to turn in their project and their Monthly review if they finish before the due date (December 4th). Their assignment is posted under the Classwork tab in their Google Classroom for art and a video with step by step instructions for how to turn it in can be found in the Stream of their Google Classroom. Students then had the majority of the class time to work on their project. While students worked, I sent reminder emails to those that have a missing art assignment. Our goal is to have all art assignments turned in before winter break. Some students even shared what they were working on and some even had a finished project. Seeing all the cool art that students are making has been so rewarding for me and I look forward to seeing more next week. Instructions from this week are the same for all grade levels. If you missed your live meeting, watch this video:
Next week we do not have school for Thanksgiving break. In our next live meetings the week after break, students will have one last class time to finish up their November project and get it turned in. Finish up those projects and I look forward to seeing you soon!
